Biography

I am a freelance photographer based in West Jefferson, Ohio where you can find me at any number of events around the area shooting either for myself, a private client, or a number of public events.  In my down time when I am not shooting, I enjoy spending time with my wife, riding my V-Star Classic, hiking, playing some golf, and relaxing with family and friends.

Teaching others about photography is something that I really enjoy.  I have been a guest speaker to photo clubs, youth groups, and taught private classes on photography and digital imaging.  In 2004, I served as adjunct faculty for Edison Community College in western Ohio teaching senior level commercial art and design.

To this date, I have had many great opportunities to photograph and work with some wonderful individuals both in history, film and professional sports.  People such as Neil Armstrong, Harrison Ford, and Kristin King, Olympic Medalist for the Women’s Hockey team, just to name a few.  Creating images that evoke emotion, thought, and discussion are what I enjoy the most.  Whether a sporting event or a portrait, my goal is to capture the individual as they are and preserve that moment.  I regularly have work  published on SportsIllustrated.com, Sports Illustrated the magazine, ESPN.com, LindysSports.com, Performance Press Magazine, and Heroes & Legends aviation magazine.

My services are available for assignment work anywhere and I can transmit images from location if needed.  I look forward to photographing you sometime and creating an image that stirs your emotion, makes others think, and is a conversation piece in your home or office.
